Possible symptoms can include increased operating temperature, oil mist, reduced performance or excessive exhaust pressure.

A vacuum pump can be mechanically healthy and still perform poorly because of a relatively small sealing component.
Shaft seals, O-rings and gaskets are inexpensive compared with the cost of unexpected equipment downtime.
They are especially worth stocking when your facility operates several identical or similar vacuum pumps.
A leaking shaft seal may cause oil leakage.
A hardened O-ring can create a vacuum leak.
A damaged gasket can prevent a pump from sealing correctly after maintenance.

4. Major or Overhaul Repair Kits

Model suffixes, production versions, serial numbers and configurations can change the parts used inside otherwise similar pumps.
